THE PALAZZO


Indulge yourself in the oasis of tranquillity of one of the most beautiful palaces of the 16th century. Located directly on the Grand Canal, between the Rialto Bridge and St Mark's Square, Palazzo Mocenigo offers insight into the history of a Doge's life in the Venice of past centuries. Throughout history, the Mocenigo family hosted some of the world most famous politicians, poets, artists and philosophers. Among them Emanuele Prince of Savoy, who was a guest in 1574, Lord Byron who wrote some of his most famous poetry in this idyllic setting in 1880, and many others. At the entrance of a tree-lined courtyard there is one of the few remaining examples of Italian-style garden, leading to the gothic-style residence. The magnificent portal called 'Androne' gives a first impression of the desirable event spaces and holiday retreats in this magical city. Continue the majestic staircase up to the 2nd floor and enter into the 850 sq m light-flooded salon 'Piano Nobile' with splendid views overlooking the famous Grand Canal on one side and the beautiful Venetian garden on the other. While strolling through the elegantly appointed salons, the beautiful Venetian mosaic marble floor and the high room ceilings with splendid stucco mouldings create a true palatial atmosphere. An imposing entrance hall leads to a spacious living and dining room exceeding 100 sq m with an 18 ft high coffered ceiling, damask tapestry, marble floors and plastered stucco finishing. The master bedroom is located directly next to the main hall which has three balconies overlooking the Grand Canal. The gold and pink mosaic bathroom features a bathtub and separate walk-in shower, the beautiful dressing room is lavishly appointed with luxurious Rubelli's fabric. A long corridor, overlooking the spectacular Italian garden, connects to the guest wing with four double bedrooms and three marble baths. The apartment has a fully equipped large kitchen. From the imposing entrance hall, guests enter on the medium floor into the new renovated old Venetian style 'Mezzanino' Apartment with its Rubelli silk tapestry, Mosaic floor and antique furnishings. This private and elegant holiday retreat features one bedroom, one living room, one marble bathroom with separate shower and bathtub and a large kitchen. From the living room guests enjoy the frontal view to the Grand Canal and the private boat dock. Daily housekeeping and breakfast service is applied. THE COTTAGE


Located directly next to the Palazzo Mocenigo, surrounded by the very impressive formal garden, the elegant and charming two story level apartment reflects the magic atmosphere of Venetian style. The 1st floor has a nice and comfortable living room and a fully equipped design kitchen. The master bedroom with marble bath and Jacuzzi tub is located on the 2nd floor directly next to a small studio featuring a sofa bed.
